Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro praised the initiatives and steps undertaken by Bahraini businessmen and investors in developing economic projects with high added value to the national economy, pointing to the influential role of these initiatives in the revitalizing the national economy and creating renewable jobs renewable for citizens.
This came during the opening of the first phase of Kingdom Ready-mix Company project, which was held under the auspices of the Minister of Industry and Commerce, where there was at reception Mr. Khaled Abdelrasool Al Sharif, Mr. Saud Kanoo and Mr. Faisal Al-Matrook along with a number of Ministry’s senior officials at Salman Industrial City.
In this regard, the minister expressed the government's tribute and its appreciation for all of the steps undertaken by the private sector, and their continuous cooperation with the government in order to upgrade the national economy and stimulate trade and investment movement in the country, praising the upscale level that characterized the company.
The Kingdom Ready-mix Company is considered one of the mega projects in Salman Industrial City, which was held on an area of 95.600 square meters with an investment worth 23 million dinars. The company's activity in the first phase is establishing a port to import cement and package it, and the first phase of the project specializes in manufacturing floating offshore platforms, build and repair iron ships.
For their part, they appreciated the leadership and government for their support and assistance and facilities granted to the Bahraini private sector which contribute to revitalizing local commercial sector and raise the rate of the economic development in the Kingdom of Bahrain, praising in this regard Ministry’s role in encouraging investment and attracting foreign capitals and major industrial projects to the Kingdom.
