Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro received here today businesswoman and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Gold, Jewellery and Pearls Committee Chairperson Deema Al-Haddad and a number of its officials.
Undersecretary of Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce Eng. Nader Khalil Almoayyed, Assistant Undersecretary for specifications and consumer protection Ahmed Abdullah Ahmed and Acting Director of the Directorate of Precious Metals and Gemstone Testing Abeer Tawfik.
The Minister affirmed the government's constant follow-up with commercial and industrial sectors, pointing out Bahrain's good reputation in gold, jewellery and pearls sectors.
He highlighted Jewellery Arabia Exhibition to start on November 18, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, which affirms Bahrain's pioneering role in the gold and jewellry industry worldwide.
Al- Haddad lauded the government's directives and remarkable interest in gold and jewellery sectors and providing facilities in order to upgrade these sectors, valuing the Ministry's efforts of promoting Bahrain's commercial reputation in all fields.
She gave a brief about the latest developments in the gold and jewellery sectors and the efforts of BCCI represented in the committee and its future plans.
