Bahrain took part today in GITEX 2014 which was inaugurated at the UAE International Trade Centre by Dubai Crown Prince Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on behalf of the UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Bahrain's pavilion brings together in this year's event, which will be held from October 12 to 16, the Economic Development Board (EDB), the eGovernment Authority, distinguished non-government organisations (NGOs) and ICT companies. 20% of the exhibitors are participating for the first time in the mega event.
The participants in this year's exhibition will showcase products spotlighting the investment market in Bahrain and the privileges offered to foreign investments as well as the kingdom's strong information and communication technology infrastructure.
Bahrain will also cast light on its rich experience in the e-government services which has earned it 18th place internationally according to a recent UN report.
