The Ministry of Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs has today reiterated resolve to continue coastal development as part of the national strategic blueprint and Bahrain 2030 Economic Vision.
Work is underway to build a jetty for fishermen as part of a plan to develop Zallaq beachfront and public beach in the Southern Government.
In a statement today, the ministry announced that the development project would hopefully be opened next December to coincide with festivities marking the National Day and His Majesty's Accession Day. The ministry has already undertaken coastal development projects in Al-Ghous, Khalifa Al-Kabeer Corniche, Dohat Arad, Abu Sobah and Budaiya, in addition to a string of other projects which include King Faisal Corniche, Al-Fateh Corniche, Galali coast, Sitra Causeway corniche and Tubli Bay.
