Undersecretary for International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa participated in the Global Entrepreneurship Network at UN Headquarters in New York, where Bahrain was named to host the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in 2019.
During the event, the Undersecretary for International Affairs said in a speech that” the Kingdom’s hosting of the global event establishes a new international confirmation for the success of the “Bahrain Economic Vision 2030”, especially with a distinguished international presence and thousands of businessmen and investors from around the world to discuss new ways and means to support the launch and development of new projects.”
He added that “this aims to establish the Kingdom as a leading global center for new investments in entrepreneurship and innovation, and its ability to provide an attractive and stimulating environment for international companies and investments in specific economic fields and new technologies.”
Shaikh Abdullah stressed that government efforts have contributed effectively to make Bahrain a distinctive interface for investments by paying attention to the development of advanced infrastructure, typical logistics services, openness and ease of implementation of business and a diversified economy, as well as allowing for the expansion of youth projects and emerging companies and ensuring all of their success.
The Global Entrepreneurship Congress is held on an annual basis and attracts at least 8,000 experts and specialists from 170 countries to discuss the best experiences and challenges they may face and to review ways to enhance entrepreneurial cooperation and support investment. .
