The curtain fell yesterday (January29) on the 26th edition of the Bahrain Autumn Fair 2015. The number of shoppers who rushed to the fair at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC) is thought to have exceeded a record 200,000 visitors, up by 5 per cent compared with the 2014 edition.
The Arabian Exhibition Management organized the autumn fair which attracted an average of 22.2 thousand visitors daily. In a statement today, The Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (BECA) said that more than 27,000 visitors rushed to the venue of the last Wednesday (Jan28), bringing the overall number over eight days to 173,000 shoppers.
The Autumn Fair, Bahrain’s largest and most popular annual consumer products exhibition, under the patronage of the Bahrain Ministry of Industry and Commerce, opened on January 21.
The nine-day exhibition which covered 15,400 square metres, attracted a record 131 Bahraini companies which showcased their products alongside 750 exhibitors from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, India, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Syria, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, the UAE and Yemen.
