Deputy Speaker of Arab Parliament Mohammed Al-Jabri said Sunday the Parliament's economic and financial affairs committee has discussed the economic draft plan for the forthcoming two years and the committee's operating mechanism.
The committee has also discussed the Arab single currency, economic integration project, and Arab common market, Al-Jabri who is also a Kuwaiti MP and member in the committee, told KUNA on the sidelines of committee meeting here.
Other economic subjects such as food and water security in the Arab World and Arab League's Secretary-General's initiative regarding new and renewable energy in Arab countries have also been addressed during the committee's discussions, said Al-Jabri.
He expressed hope for attaining desired results at the committee towards these subjects and issues for interest and benefit of Arab citizens.
Meanwhile, MP Mohammed Al-Huwaila, who is a member in Arab Parliament's committee on social affairs, youth and women affairs, said the committee discussed a document designed particularly for Arab youth's issues.
The document aims at highlighting difficulties and issues facing Arab youngsters, Al-Huwaila said, adding that the document is also the first to be adopted by Arab Parliament as part of its keenness towards Arab youth' issues.
