Libyan crisis
Cairo - MENA

Arab foreign ministers demanded the UN Security Council (UNSC) Monday to immediately lift ban on arms exports to the government of Libya.
The Arab ministers made their remarks in a statement following conclusion of their 143rd meeting at headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in the Egyptian capital.
They also stressed the importance for the Libyan government to be able to restore security in the country by arming Libya's national army.
The meeting also called the international community to take its responsibilities in preventing arms trafficking, via sea and air, to terrorist organizations, that continue to tamper with the Libyan people's assets by taking lives.
The Arab ministers reiterated the importance to commit to respecting Libya's unity, sovereignty, safety of its lands without interfering in its interior affairs, in addition to preserving its political independence, committing to the comprehensive dialogue among anti-violence political powers and organizations, and supporting the political process under the supervision of the UN envoy to Libya.
