Kuwait's Minister of Finance Anas Al-Saleh stressed on Thursday the importance of joint Arab work to fulfill the ambitions of the Arab people for acquiring a life of prosperity and happiness.
He said that in a statement to KUNA following the conclusion of the Arab economic and social affairs ministers' meeting here at the Arab League headquarters which the Kuwaiti minister attended.
He said the conferees discussed a number of issues among them following up the implementation of the resolutions of the Afro-Arab summit (known as the Kuwait declaration) and the South American-Arab summit( known as the Lima declaration).
They also prepared draft resolutions to give impetus to pan-Arab investments and tackled the economic impacts of the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, especially the recent Israeli devastating war on Gaza Strip, said the minister.
The meeting today furthermore emphasized the need for Arab countries and organizations to attend the conference on boosting investment between them and Turkey which will take place in Kuwait in 2015, to be attended primarily by ministers of economy and commerce and investments.
