An Arab League delegation discussed with the National Commission for Human Rights preparations for the general elections to take place on April 13.
Talks covered the way the pan-Arab body will take part in monitoring the balloting and vote count.
Ali Abu Zeid, head of the political rights committee at the commission, said the commission will start visits to the different Sudanese provinces within the coming few days to prepare central operation rooms and complaints committees.
He lauded the role played by the Arab League in contributing to democratic transition in Sudan and the other Arab countries.
The commission updated the delegation on the plan to monitor the voting process.
The delegation has earlier met with officials from the Foreign Ministry and representatives of political parties and civil society organizations.
