The additional envelope allocated during the working and inspection visits to the provinces of the country amounts to over DZD1,350 billion, including DZD771 billion were mobilized for the South and High Plateau provinces, Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal said Thursday.
In an answer to People’s National Assembly (APN- Lower House) members’ questions, read on his behalf by Khalil Mahi, Deputy Minister for the relations with the parliament, Sellal stressed that the overall sum of the additional envelope allocated to the provinces development was "DZD1,352.8 billion, which more than 57%, equaling DZD 771 billion were mobilized to the South and High Plateau provinces."
The "High Plateau provinces benefited from DZD573 billion, i.e. 42% of the overall programme," the Premier said, adding that those of the South, for their part, benefited from DZD198.8 billion, i.e. 15% of the programme.
The projects shortlisted aim at "addressing the social problems of the citizens in the concerned regions," he explained.
The achievement of development programmes is made on the basis of technical files relating to the projects, in line with executive decrees ruling the government expenditure in equipments, he concluded.
