The Registration Authority, RA, of Abu Dhabi Global Market, ADGM, has published a new public consultation paper inviting public feedback and comments on a series of amendments to the Data Protection Regulations 2015.
The proposed amendments include updates and further clarity on items such as defined terms, the mechanism of designation of jurisdictions with adequate level of protection, amendments to the model data transfer agreements, deadlines for notifications to the registrar and further enforcement provisions.
The enhancements are part of ADGM’s unfailing commitment to continually enhance its legislative framework to maintain a fair, well-regulated and internationally-recognised platform that accommodates the needs of its markets.
ADGM invites the public and industry participants to submit their comments to "Consultation Paper No. 2 of 2017" by 30 May 2017
