The 12th Public Works International Exhibition of Algiers (SITP) which will be held from 19 to 23 in the Exhibition Centre will bring together 429 participants, including 212 foreigners, the organizers said.
Organized by the Ministry of Public Works in collaboration with the Algerian Company of Fairs and Exports (Safex), this event of industry professionals will be placed under of theme of "Public Works, development and modernity."
The Exhibition, which will be marked by a strong presence, particularly of the Chinese companies (56 participants), Italian companies (45 participants) and the French ones (43 participants), will be "an opportunity for operators and domestic exhibitors to forge partnerships and build business links with their foreign counterparts in the activities of engineering, equipment, studies of projects, training and retraining," the same source added.
Germany (22 participants), Turkey (8 participants), Spain (11 participants), India (3 participants), Tunisia (3 participants), Lebanon (1 participant ), Belgium (1 participant), Austria (1 participant), Holland (1 participant), Denmark (1 participant), Indonesia (1 participant), Portugal (8 participants), Greece (4 participants), Russia (1 participant), the US (1 participant), and finally Poland (1 participant) are also expected at this annual exhibition.
"The interest now granted to the Algerian public works market is reflected by the strong foreign participation with 212 exhibitors from 19 countries on a total 429 exhibitors, nearly 50% of the number of participants," the source said.
The latest edition of SITP had attracted more than 380 exhibitors, including 140 foreign exhibitors from 14 countries.
To be held over a total area of 26,802 m2, the exhibition will also feature various industries including the Algerian national agency of highways, the Agency for Highway Management, the National Institution of Technical Supervision of Public Works and the National Laboratory maritime Studies.
