Forty ships transited the Suez Canal in both directions on Tuesday, carrying a total cargo of 2.5 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 18 vessels, carrying about 1.1 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 22 ships, with 1.4 million tons.
