Steps will be taken in 2015 to carry out 10 major national projects to serve the citizens of Giza and achieve development in the governorate, Governor Ali Abdel Rahman said.
In statements, the governor said the projects include the development of the northern sector of the city of 652 feddans at a cost of one billion pounds. Ninety percent of the project has been completed, he said.
Also the “King Abdullah” corridor is being established to connect residential blocks in Giza’s Moneib, Omranya, Boulaq Al Dakrour, Agouza, Ard Al Lewaa, Imbaba, Al Waraq and Oseem, he said.
The 16-km corridor will serve 3.5 million people with nearly 250,000 vehicles expected to drive on the road daily, he added.
