UK to extradite Algerian ex-magnate Khalifa to Algeria

Rafik Khalifa, the Algerian former magnate who once owned an airline and a string of companies, will be extradited from Britain to Algeria by the end of the year, the Home Office said on Monday. "Mr Khalifa was refused leave to appeal to the Supreme Court on December 3. He will be extradited within 28 days of that date," said a spokeswoman for the interior ministry.
