The European Union\'s foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton, has told reporters in Cairo that Egypt\'s ousted president Mohammed Morsi is \"well\" and has access to \"TV and newspapers.\" The EU envoy held a two-hour meeting with the Islamist politician at an undisclosed location on Monday evening. \"He is well. We had a friendly, open and a very frank discussion. I sent him good wishes from people here [European Union] and he passed on his well wishes too. \"He has access to information in terms of TV, newspapers. We were able to talk about the situation,\" she added. The diplomat refused to elaborate on her meeting with Morsi, and said she was in Egypt to help. \"We are here to listen and help, we are not here to impose,\" she asserted.
