Author Tom Reilly has traveled extensively throughout the world holding a number of senior executive positions with large multinational corporations finally retiring after spending three years in New Delhi as CEO of a large Indian Corporation to pursue his dream to become a reputable international author. Since then, he has published five novels in the past decade. “The Goldfish Bowl” (published by Xlibris) is his sixth novel, where he continues to deliver a page-turner filled with suspense and intrigue.
The story follows Mike Summers, a look-alike of ‘George Clooney’ who has no problem filling his cot with extramarital affairs. At 45 and married to his beautiful wife June and with two teenage children, life is good. But his mistress, Laura Williams, has other plans when Mike insensitively decides their affair is over. She threatens to destroy him and everything he stands for; his family, his career, his very life, unless he divorces his wife and makes her an “honest woman.” When money cannot solve the problem, there is only one avenue left, and desperate men do desperate things. What follows is a trail of hypnotic detective work, fraught with danger, kidnapping and murder. This is a police drama of insurmountable proportions and surprising twists and turns.
Continually fast-paced, “The Goldfish Bowl” works to keep readers at the edge of their seats as they blaze through its pages towards whatever surprise awaits them in each chapter. If they like this book’s thrills, then Reilly has more where that came from. He has five other books; “The House,” “The Inequity,” “The Price,” “Too Late for Tears” and “White Light;” and another one, “The Reprisal” set for publication within the year.
