Abu Rayhan Al-Biruni Institute for Oriental Studies in Uzbekistan has recently organized a seminar to introduce the book entitled \"Treasures of Eastern Manuscripts\" issued by the Institute in collaboration with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), with a grant provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, within the framework of the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Uzbekistan . Addressing the seminar, Saudi Ambassador to Uzbekistan Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Shaie pointed out that bilateral relations between the two countries included many fields, noting that the Kingdom provided a grant to the Institute by UNESCO in 2009. It is noteworthy that the book includes a description of the contents of the Institute\'s collection comprising of more than 26,000 manuscripts, and 39,000 books printed in Arabic, Persian, Uzbek and Turkish languages.
