The strange disappearance of a teenage girl rocks a small Massachusetts community in Jack Shevlin’s new thriller, “Marked Money” (published by iUniverse), which has just been awarded the Pacific Book Award in the mystery category.
When 17-year-old Jenny Sanderson is kidnapped, her devastated parents, Kevin and Maria, receive a startling ransom demand: one million dollars in exchange for their daughter’s life. Against the kidnapper’s instructions, they enlist the help of the local police and the FBI who organize a trap for the kidnappers.
The plan however falls through. The kidnappers make off with the money without releasing Jenny, and questions emerge. Was Jenny really kidnapped? As new evidence surfaces and suspects reveal themselves, the mystery of what really happened to Jenny begins to unfold.
Praise for “Marked Money:”
