Author Irish Mike is a firm believer that the world is undergoing what he calls a "world wide awakening," during which people are opening their minds to new thinking on a larger scale than ever before. He aims to win over nonbelievers to this idea and open readers’ minds to his socialist revolution in his book "Your Guide to the Revolution" (published by Trafford Publishing). Mike expresses his views on the socialist revolution he sees unfolding using a language style more akin to spoken word and rap than traditional poetry. This parallels with the overall message in his book that the world is experiencing social change at a pace faster than previous ages, due to the world’s increased need for change. An excerpt from "Your Guide to the Revolution": "Freedom is the new religion healing is the future now seeing is as feeling now thinking is the planet now growing is the species now water is just flowing now trees just keep on growing now waves just keep on rolling now" Mike hopes readers will not only enjoy his book, but open their minds to new ways of thinking and press the world for change, as he claims, "This book is essential in today's society, it tells us where we are, how we got here and how to get out of this mess."
