The Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) has released the calendar for the fifth ‘Ramadan in Dubai' that will start on June 19 to give residents and visitors the opportunity to experience and understand Ramadan.
‘Ramadan in Dubai' promotes cross-cultural understanding and enlightens people from non-Muslim communities on the Islamic faith and provides valuable insights into this month of reflection and self-restraint.
"By launching the fifth edition of ‘Ramadan in Dubai' we aim to give everyone an opportunity to savour a fascinating city-wide experience that highlights the cultural, social and spiritual aspects of this holy month and also helps showcase Dubai as a leading family tourism destination while still keeping the city's Islamic customs and heritage intact,” Laila Mohammad Suhail, CEO of DFRE, said.
‘Ramadan in Dubai' will give both residents and visitors a chance to experience different events and family-centric activities such as the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, Dubai Ramadan Forum, Ramadan Tents and the Ramadan Night Market.
The 14th edition of the Dubai Ramadan Forum will feature daily multilingual lectures by well-known preachers, the Preacher of the Nation contest for talented youth, a training course titled ‘Building Bridges of Communication with Teenagers', and the Convoy of Goodness campaign, among others.
