Chevrolet at Moscow motor show Moscow - Arabstoday Chevrolet will give motoring enthusiasts a taste of the present and the future when the 2012 Moscow International Motor Show – Russia’s leading automotive exhibition – opens on Three all-new vehicles making their European debut – the Colorado pickup, Trailblazer SUV and Cobalt small car – will be on display. “As the fourth-largest market for Chevrolet, Russia has become a priority for General Motors,” said Jim Bovenzi, president and managing director of GM Russia & CIS. “We are responding with products that will satisfy the needs of our customers nationwide.”The new-generation Colorado pickup was developed across five continents for customers in more than 60 markets. Based on GM’s new global body-on-frame, rear-drive midsize truck architecture, the Colorado is designed, engineered and executed to deliver best-in-class appearance, performance, versatility and refinement. It is equally adept at hauling and towing, and serving the day-to-day urban commuter.The Colorado’s sister model, the Trailblazer, is Chevrolet’s “haul-anything, go-anywhere” SUV. It features a seven-passenger interior with best-in-class third-row roominess. It also has off-road and towing capabilities as well as premium ride and handling dynamics.The Cobalt is a new small car that offers segment-leading spaciousness, refinement, affordability and style for customers in the world’s emerging markets. It provides comfortable seating for up to five people along with best-in-class trunk space. It also has a longer wheelbase and wider track than most of its competitors.In addition, Chevrolet is showcasing the Cruze station wagon, the newest member of the global small car family, and the Malibu global midsize sedan. Both are making their Russian debuts. Also on display are the Corvette Stingray concept and Youth Concepts, which were developed to solicit opinions from young consumers on what they want in a vehicle. Other products in the show are the Spark, Aveo notchback and hatchback; Cruze notchback and hatchback; Orlando MPV, Captiva, Niva, Tahoe, Volt electric car and current and vintage Camaros. Chevrolet will also use the Moscow show to profile its new infotainment system, MyLink, to Russian customers for the first time. MyLink offers drivers new levels of convenience and flexibility by bringing owner\'s smartphone capabilities into the vehicle.Chevrolet MyLink aggregates content from the smartphone onto the seven-inch, high resolution, full color touch-screen display. Connectivity will be ensured via USB or Bluetooth for mass storage devices, including MP3 players, iPod and iPad. There is also a dedicated plug-in outlet for certain personal music devices and smartphones that do not use USB or Bluetooth connections.The Chevrolet brand continues to be a sales success in Russia. For the past five years it has been the country’s best-selling foreign Automotive Brand. In 2011, Chevrolet sold 173,484 vehicles in Russia, a 49 percent increase over 2010. According to Russia’s AEB Car Manufacturer Committee, from January to July 2012 Chevrolet has sold 115,755 vehicles, an increase of 19 percent on the same period in 2011. The Niva small SUV and global Cruze small car remain top Chevrolet sellers throughout the country. Chevrolet is General Motors\' largest global brand with annual sales of more than 4 million vehicles in more than 140 countries. It is the fourth-biggest global car brand in terms of sales and also one of the fastest-growing brands in the world. Chevrolet cars combine bold design, performance, innovation and practicality. They provide outstanding value for money.
