Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said here on Thursday that Tehran is against any move leading to militarization of international atmosphere. According to Iranian (IRNA) News Agency, Mehmanparast reiterated that any move leading to arms races throughout the globe, including the Mideast region would damage international security and is therefore condemned by Tehran. Such an Iran\'\'s approach is in line with the country\'\'s principled policies regarding disarmament and refraining from military interventions, Mehmanparast said. Tehran believes that deployment of NATO\'\'s anti-missile radar system in Turkey would be of no help to regional stability and security, including those of the host country, he noted. The Islamic Republic of Iran believes that the continued presence of NATO forces in the region would lead to regional insecurity, he said, adding that such a move would help the West to continue with its bullying policies in the region. He called on the friendly nations and the neighboring states to be vigilant and do not pave the way for such tension creating policies by the West which would undoubtedly complicate the consequences.
