Doum Cultural Foundation is holding a 4-week wire sculpture workshop, every week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 to 8 pm. The workshop starts on Monday 4 November and aims to revive wire sculpture as a popular form of visual art, through turning inexperienced amateurs into professionals, thus introducing new artists to the scene as well producing a new generation of well-trained individuals who can themselves become teachers and sustain the tradition. The workshop will be given by Egyptian sculptor Galal Gomaa. Participants can choose to donate ten of their post-workshop works to the foundation instead of paying the workshop fees.
