Young students from the vocal class of Sobhi Bidair at the Talents Development Centre will sing a number of arias and songs to the accompaniment of a small string orchestra Sunday. Their ages range from nine years old to singers in their 30s. The orchestra, conducted by Osman El-Mahdy, consists of professional musicians and a handful of advanced violin students from Mahdy\'s Suzuki Method class, also from the Talents Development Centre. The orchestra will open the evening with two Bach preludes. Following that, the evening will include over 15 arias and songs including Schubert\'s Ave Maria, aria Caro Mio Ben (erroneously ascribed to Giordani Giordani), known Neapolitan songs such as O sole mio, Vergin tutto amor by Francesco Durante, and Sergei Rachmaninov\'s Vocalise, among others. The evening is a unique opportunity to see the fruits of the hard work of students in both classes — vocals and violin. Their joint cooperation will hopefully lead to further artistic encounters. Programme Sunday, 25 March, at 8pm Cairo Opera House, Small Hall, Zamalek
