Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, today opened a photography exhibition, "UAE through a Chinese Eye" at the National Theatre in Abu Dhabi.
The opening of the exhibition, organised by Emirates Heritage Club in collaboration with the Chinese Embassy, was attended by Huang Jiemin, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the UAE.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, along with a number of the club's officials and a number of attendees.
During his tour of the exhibition, Sheikh Nahyan was briefed on the exhibition's contents, which include 120 photographs taken by a number of Chinese photographers and the Chinese News Agency, reflecting many aspects of life in the United Arab Emirates and official visits by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to Beijing.
Sheikh Nahyan expressed his happiness at opening of the exhibition, which sheds light on various aspects of life in the UAE, and re-affirms the outstanding relations between the People's Republic of China and the UAE.
The Chinese ambassador stressed the importance of cooperation with the Emirates Heritage Club, which resulted in providing a distinctly unique exhibition which mirrors the cultural exchange between the two peoples of China and the UAE.
