Director General of Ismailia Museum Mona Shaaban Hafez said several events will be organized at the museum coinciding with the inaugural ceremony of the new Suez Canal set for August 6.
In statements to MENA, Shaaban said an interim exhibition will be held to showcase the pieces of antiquities which have been uncovered in the area of digging the new canal. The exhibition will also include pottery and stoneware.
Nine screens will be established at the museum's garden to showcase the exhibitions that were discovered during the digging of the old canal and the new one. Also, documentary films will be screened on the establishment of the canal and its history.
