Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, GDRFA Dubai, has said that the department is keen to enhance its services and harness all possibilities for people of determination to have a prominent role in various forums, and enhance their role in society.
"Because of our belief in the outstanding role played by people of determination in the renaissance and development of society, GDRFA Dubai is keen to participate in the 'AccessAbilities Expo 2017'. GDRFA Dubai has been a strategic partner of the exhibition since its inception in 2015, and this is an opportunity to learn about the best practices and smart services demonstrated at the exhibition, and for us to make a qualitative leap in the development of services provided to them," Al Marri said.
The GDRFA Dubai's participation in AccessAbilities Expo 2017 will include a review of the department's website to meet the requirements of people of determination, as well as the Braille guide map, which includes information on service delivery locations in the GDRFA headquarters.
Al Marri said that the book "Hwa" will be launched during the exhibition, written by Hawa Ahli one of GDRFA Dubai's employees with hearing disabilities. The book tackles her experiences in facing challenges and the role played by the department in enhancing her role in society.
The exhibition will also showcase the "Renew your mind" initiative, which will be displayed in sign language for people of determination and which aims to spread the spirit of culture, learning and innovation
