Forum in Cairo, Alex

The Culture Directorate in the UAE city of Sharjah is due to organise a major forum for junior playwrights in the Egyptian cities of Cairo and Alexandria under the auspices of the Ruler of Sharjah His Excellency Sultan Al Qassem. Directorate Chairman Abdullah Al Uweis said in a statement yesterday that Al Qassem planned the forum upon his meeting with a group of junior playwrights during the gathering Sharjah organised for playwrights in May. He said the forum will be organised in a different capital everywhere. The Culture Directorate in Sharjah is reported to have prepared a comprehensive programme for the forum The programme aims to underline the contributions Sharjah makes to the development of theatre across the Arab region
