Cirque du Soleil’s first ever performance in Doha will be held this evening at the Aspire Dome with “Saltimbanco”, a show of thrilling acrobats and colorful visual effects that has been seen by over 13 million people all around the world. More than 90 cast and crew members arrived in Doha on Sunday with two full 747 cargo planes filled with technical material. Two days were needed to set up more than 80 tones of equipment for today’s first show. Saltimbanco Company Manager Chris May expected a strong attendance at Cirque du Soleil first official performance in Qatar. He urge fans to attend the Cirque and be a part of “this unique exhilarating experience, to be transported into a unique world,” he said. Saltimbanco is scheduled to run from today to July 7 with matinee shows on Friday and Saturday.
