Students in the Department of Art Education at Taibah University displayed their works at an art exhibition, on the sidelines of the university’s participation in the yearlong celebrations of Madinah as Capital of Islamic Culture for the year 2013. Director of Taibah University Adnan bin Abdullah Al-Mazroua inaugurated the exhibition on Tuesday. It encompasses 1,000 artworks made by the students, which highlight the significance of Madinah as the Islamic Cultural Capital of 2013. The head of the Art Education Department at Taibah University, Waleed Al-Qeen told Saudi Press Agency the artistic creations of the students were corresponding with Madinah’s celebrations. Al-Qeen said all these artworks will be participating in the cultural tent near Quba Mosque, wherein an exhibition will be set up on an area of approximately 1,500 meters to showcase these innovative creations. The exhibition runs until next Monday, and it will be open for women today, said Al-Qeen. From : Arab News
