Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al-Kuwari has called on the departments of youth activities and youth centres to conduct studies for the establishment of a poetry youth centre to cover classical and traditional poetry. During a meeting today with traditional poets, Dr. Al-Kuwari said the mission of the centre will be the care for poetry and poets as well as the organizing of poetry festivals throughout the year. Dr. Al-Kuwari confirmed that his ministry is seeking to serve the youth who build the glory and strength of nations, pointing out that establishment of a special centre for youth will be a precedent by the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage “as poetry is a part of our Arab culture which we have to care for and give the due appreciation, and subsequently give poets the same appreciation”
