In Australia the Embassy of Qatar organized sport activities in the capital Canberra with the participation of Qatari Ambassador to Australia Youssuf bin Ali Al Khater and the embassy staff. On the occasion Ambassador Al Khater said dedicating a special day for sports in Qatar is a step reflecting the advanced vision and the cultural awareness of the wise leadership of the State of Qatar. The activities featured matches of football, volleyball, swimming and cricket. The Embassy of Qatar in San Jose also sponsored a number of activities including running. On the occasion gifts were distributed to the participants. Meanwhile an open sports day was organized by the Embassy of the State of Qatar to Mbabane to mark the National Sports Day in the city of Manzini in which all the embassy staff took part. The day's activities featured walking, running and open sports including football and basketball matches
