A photography gallery on Egypt opened on Thursday at the headquarters of the Egyptian Embassy in Beijing, China, on the sidelines of the celebrations of the 63rd anniversary of July 23, 1952 Revolution.
Dubbed "Egypt in the eyes of Chinese people," the exhibition was attended by more than 500 diplomats and Chinese visitors.
The gallery was organized by the Egyptian cultural office in Beijing and its Chinese counterpart in Cairo.
It Showcased 100 photos selected from more than 100,000 images captured by Chinese photography enthusiasts in Egypt during May 8-27.
The photos simplify the buoyant life in Egypt under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, according to Xinhua.
The gallery is the first attempt made by Chinese photographers to take photos from Egypt nationwide, Egyptian ambassador to China Magdi Amer said, adding they took photos with distinct and distinguished perspectives of places never being visited by others.
"Such gallery contributes to spreading ancient culture, cementing friendship between the two nations and boosting bilateral strategic ties," Amer added.
