Governor Cuomo's office said in a statement that the storm has already brought significant amounts of snow to Western New York and the North Country, is expected reach into Central New York.

The storm may persist until Friday morning with the potential for another two feet of snow, he confirmed.
"New Yorkers in these areas should exercise extreme caution, and stay off the roads until conditions are clearer and safer," he added.
As part of the State of Emergency, Governor Cuomo deployed the National Guard to affected areas and activated statewide Emergency Operations Centers.
Four deaths occurred, since the storm hit the state, one person was due to a vehicle accident, as the three other deaths are believed to be cardiac related, local news announced.
