Power has been restored to homes and businesses in North Al Hail after a proper cut knocked out supply for almost an hour.
A City Centre Muscat staff member told the Times of Oman that the power was cut for about 40 minutes and is now restored, “There was a power cut not just in City Centre but in the entire North Al Hail/ Mawaleh area. However, the electricity has been restored now.”
There were also reports of power being off at the Markaz Al Bahja Mall, which is around the same area.
A resident of North Al Hail complained that there was no power in her house for more than half an hour, “We didn’t have power in our house for a long time, almost more than half an hour. We don’t usually get power cuts here, so it was a little disturbing.”
However people later took to social media to say that power was being restored in some parts of the area.
