The U.S. National Weather Service on Sunday issued a dust storm warning in Arizona, after a strong dust and rainstorm swept into the Phoenix area followed by thunderstorms that brought heavy rains.
The weather service said the blowing wind would hamper visibility for drivers. A flash-flood warning was issued for central Maricopa and west-central Pinal counties.
On Sunday, a strong wave of moisture from Hurricane Norbert is expected to push its way into Arizona and the Valley, bringing chances of rain through Tuesday.
Some of the storms could be severe Sunday and Monday with localized flooding and strong winds, the weather service said.
