A 6.4 on the Richter scale earthquake jolted the regency of East Flores in Indonesia on Monday but authorities said , there was no signs of tsunami.
The meteorology office (BMKG) said the quake hit on Monday morning with epicenter in the sea at 7.32 south latitude and 123.40 east longitude at a depth of 524 kilometer, according to Indonesia's (ANTARA News).
East Nusa Tenggara BMKG Hasanudin said there had been no report of casualty and damage to property caused by the quake.
The authorities asked the people to remain calm saying there was no cause for panic as there was no sign of tsunami.
