Civil defense forces managed to put out a fire that broke out in a car in Cairo's Heliopolis district, with no casualties reported.
In a statement by the Interior Ministry on Friday, an official at the security media center said that the explosion took place when a Freon refrigerant cylinder, which is used to refill the car's air conditioner and was placed in the car trunk, exploded.
Firefighters managed to contain the fire, the official added.
No casualties were reported and all legal measures were taken, the official said.
