Prosecutor General Nabil Ahmed Sadek said on Sunday that he is following up the investigations launched by the general prosecution concerning the the blast that targeted El Boutrosiya Coptic Orthodox Church Sunday morning.
In exclusive statements to MENA, Sadek added that he assigned a team from the general prosecution to investigate into the incident and take all required legal measures as soon as possible.
The team includes First Attorney General of Cairo Appeal Prosecution Hamada el Sawy and representatives from the supreme state security prosecution and public prosecution.
A total of 20 people were killed while 35 others were injured in an explosion that targeted the Boutrosiya Church which is adjacent to the St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Abbasiya in Cairo.
