Phoenix Suns center Robin Lopez has been suspended for one game by the NBA for making contact with a referee during a game, the league announced. The fourth-year NBA center, averaging 4.8 points and 3.3 rebounds a game in a reserve role for Phoenix, will miss Friday's game at Portland. The 23-year-old US seven-footer touched an official after 8:14 to play in the second quarter of Phoenix's 99-96 home loss to Toronto on Tuesday night. Lopez, the twin brother of Brook Lopez, who plays for the NBA's New Jersey Nets, was the 15th pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. At 6-11, the Suns are third in the Pacific division but 11th in the Western Conference.
