Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has warned Jose Enrique over his conduct after the Spanish defender criticised the club\'s transfer policy on Twitter, it was reported Tuesday. Enrique hit out at the Magpies hierarchy following the sale of striker Andy Carroll and midfielder Kevin Nolan in recent months. However Pardew, who is hoping to persuade Enrique to sign a new contract, took exception to the remarks. \"Jose was wrong to put those comments up and I told him,\" Pardew told The Sun. \"It\'s a good offer which we have given him and maybe the frustration of the situation got the better of him. \"I want him to stay, he\'s a good lad but this didn\'t reflect well on him. It was a mistake, he knows it and so do I.\" Enrique, who is reportedly a target for Liverpool and Arsenal, had said Newcastle\'s recent transfer deals were undermining the club\'s chances of challenging for honours in the Premier League. \"The club is allowing all the major players of the team to go,\" he wrote on Twitter. \"Seriously, do you think it is the fault of the players? This club will never again fight to be among the top six again with this policy.\"
