Former Indian wicketkeeper Syed Kirmani will inspire cricketers aged between four and six during an inter-school tournament final at the Delhi Private School, Sharjah. The tournament, which is being held in memory of Rickie Mathew, a student who passed away in a tragic traffic accident a few years back, is being held for the fourth consecutive year. The event has attracted huge response especially due to the school\'s decision to stage a cricket event for KG Grade kids. Pakistan Test star and coach Mudassar Nazar took time off to be with the children and inspire them before the start of a match. \"This tournament is a one-of-its-kind event in the entire Middle East region and is being held successfully for the fourth consecutive year. The final of this keenly fought event will be on March 3 at 5pm,\" remarked Mousumi Dasgupta, Senior Headmistress of Delhi Private School. The school has an excellent cricket ground. The teams which are playing in this tournament are DPS Sharjah, DPS Dubai, Ryan Star International School Sharjah, The New Indian Model School, Sharjah, Our Own English High School, Sharjah, Gems Millennium School, Sharjah and The Kindergarten Starters, Dubai. UAE Exchange is supporting the event as the main sponsor. Y Sudhir Kumar Shetty, COO of UAE Exchange, who has been regularly backing cricket events in Abu Dhabi, said: \"We reaffirm our interest in the cubs\' cricket tournament and we will do all that is necessary to make the tournament a grand success.\" From gulfnews
