Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in a message on late Sunday congratulated the victory of Iran’s National Weightlifting Team in the World Weightlifting Championship competitions in France. The Supreme Leader\'s message reads:\' I appreciate the young and bold medal-winners specially Behdad Salimi and Kianosh Rostami who succeeded in this round of World Weightlifting Championship and made the Iranian nation happy.\' Iran’s National Weightlifting Team by bagging 495 points grabbed the third international ranking for the first time in the past 50 years. Iranian athletes gained five gold medals, two silvers, and four bronzes in the 79th World Weightlifting Championships of the year 2011 held in the French capital city of Paris. The National weightlifting teams of China and Russia became first and second, respectively in the championship competitions.
