Germany striker Mario Gomez is fit to face Turkey in Friday\'s Euro 2012 qualifier, but injury-hit stars Mesut Ozil and Miroslav Klose face a race against time. Germany coach Joachim Loew put the trio through their paces on Thursday in the final training session before his team play their penultimate qualifier with the Germans already through to the Euro 2012 finals and top of Group A. Bayern Munich\'s Gomez proved he is over his groin strain during the session at the Galatasary Stadium in Istanbul. Although both Klose and Ozil took part, a decison on whether they play will only be made on Friday. Veteran striker Klose, who plays for Lazio, has an excess of blood on the knee and Real Madrid\'s play-maker Ozil has problems with his Achilles tendon. Gomez is set to start as Germany\'s first-choice striker while Dortmund\'s 19-year-old star Mario Goezte will slot in for Ozil if needed. Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos is definitely out having been left at home in Germany with the \'flu. Germany qualified as group winners when they beat Austria last month and host Belgium in their final qualifier in Duesseldorf next Tuesday. The match in Istanbul has added significance for midfielder Ozil, who was born in Germany to Turkish parents. He faced a barrage of jeers from Turkish fans in Berlin when the Germans ran out 3-0 winners last October. \"Of course, I hope that I can play and will be fit,\" Ozil told the DFB website on Thursday. \"We\'ll have to wait and see how things turn out.\" Turkey are second in Group A and a rare win over the Germans would boost their chances of securing a berth at Euro 2012, to be hosted by the Ukraine and Poland next June.
