Defender Rod Fanni is hoping to finally re-establish himself in the Marseille side after recovering from a broken toe. The 30-year-old was signed from Rennes midway through last season and made 19 league appearances for L\'OM, but has started only nine league games this season due to the injury. \"It has been difficult with this injury, which stopped me in my tracks,\" Fanni told L\'Equipe. \"I hope I am now ready to get out there.\" With Souleymane Diawara away at the CAF African Nations Cup with Senegal, Fanni\'s chance is likely to come initially in central defence - where he played in Saturday\'s 5-0 Coupe de France win over Red Star 93 - rather than in his preferred right-back position. \"I will play where the coach wants me to,\" he continued. \"But I prefer to play on the right and I have not changed my opinion on that.\"
