Argentine President Cristina Fernandez on Monday called soccer legend Diego Maradona to express her condolences over the death of his mother. Maradona has visited Fernandez and her late husband, former President Nestor Kirchner, at the official presidential residence many times during the last 10 years, and according to an official spokesman, Fernandez told the popular soccer player that she \"accompanied him in his grief.\" Dalma Salvadora Franco passed away 81 years old on Saturday and Maradona, who was in Dubai when he learned the news, arrived back in Argentina on Sunday to say a final goodbye to the woman who gave birth to one of the world\'s most famous soccer players. Maradona, who led the Argentine team to triumph in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico and coached the team in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, is currently coaching the United Arab Emirates team Al Wasl The fifth of Franco\'s eight children, Maradona\'s mother was popularly known simply as \"Dona Tota\" across Argentina.
