The Ahly delegation left Cairo Airport Monday morning heading to UAE to start their two-week training camp amid their preparations for Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League round 32 clash against Ethiopian Coffee on 23 March. The Red Castle are to play three friendly games in the Gulf country starting with Kuwaiti outfit Kuwait on 2 March, three days before they face Ahly Dubai ending their camp by playing UAE’s Emirates. The Cairo Giants, who are in a 40-day mourning period, after the Port Said disaster on 1 February left over 70 dead, many of them Ahly fans. Since the incident, domestic football has been put on hold. Last week Ahly started their trainings and welcomed solidarity visits from other Egyptian clubs including arch-rivals Zamalek.
