UN Special Envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed said on Tuesday that talks to get Houthis and the Yemeni government back to the negotiating table have ended with no progress.
According to Al Arabiya TV channel, supporters of former Yemeni leader Ali Abdullah Saleh and Houthi militants have refused to lift the siege imposed on Taiz or releases detainees.
Ahmed said the former leader's remarks to refuse negotiating with the Yemeni legitimate authorities would hinder the UN efforts to bring about peace in Yemen.
